A Time Bank tea-party at Rushall Village Hall on Thursday 11 December was a quiet, but productive affair. Isabel, reliable as ever stepped up to - or rather with - the plate (see what I did there?) and provided fairy cakes (credit in the bank).

Although there were several apologies, some of the Mums collecting children from school came in for a cup of tea, and took away application forms. There was a lot discussion about time banking, how successful it's been in various other places, enthusiasm for getting the project going in the village, and ideas for activities and exchanges - so let's hope for lots of volunteering activity in Rushall!

Requests for information, requests for help and ideas for activities keep trickling in gradually - if anyone knows of an individual or an organisation who could contribute something to the bank, or who could use some help, please let Debby know - ring 01672 564140.

Community Lunch 4th December 2008

Timebank and Voluntary Action Kennet held a community lunch on Thursday 4th December at the Scout hall Pewsey. Current members of Timebank had a chance to chat to one another and people not registered with TimeBank could find out more about the project. Voluntary Action Kennet took its Pewsey Information Point Stand along, with all sorts of interesting information on. 6 pupils from Pewsey Primary School came to the event and took part in a Christmas Quiz. Year 6 pupils also took part in a design a Christmas Card Compitition with the winning card being used as the TimeBank Christmas Card, well done to all pupils who entered. Pewsey Primary School is the latest organisation to join the TimeBank and earned 2 hours credit which they can use towards volunteers to help out with enrichment and community involvement activities.
